Hospital Insurance
Hospital insurance is health insurance that covers inpatient hospital care. This type of insurance typically includes coverage for room and board, nursing care, diagnostic tests, and surgeries.
The Hospital Confinement Indemnity Benefit pays a benefit to insured persons who are confined in the hospital for more than six days. The amount of the benefit depends on your age and length of confinement.
If you are eligible to receive a benefit, Aflac pays cash benefits directly to you, unless otherwise assigned. The amount of the benefit is based on the policy period (the time between when your coverage begins and when it ends).
The benefits payable are in addition to any other insurance or resources available for medical care related to your covered injury or sickness.
You can also collect benefits from other insurance plans as well. In fact, we'll pay you for lost wages from any other hospital-sickness policy that you have at the same time as your claim is being handled by Aflac. This includes group and individual policies, as well as supplemental coverage through your employer.
The Hospital Confinement Indemnity Benefit is one of our most popular products—for good reason! It can be customized to fit just about any situation, whether you’re looking for coverage only while hospitalized or something more comprehensive.
